Rise and Shine!!!

GOOOOOOOD --- MORNINGGG

READERS

Tell me one thing, what do you think you'll see when you'll get out of your home if you happen to live somewhere in the East Delhi.

I tell you, when you'll step out of your home you'll be embraced by the cool breeze, lovely weather, chirping birds and beautiful surroundings...

SURPRISED, I know what you would be saying right now, "This Guy has gone crazy!!!" All you can get to see in Delhi is Traffic,Dust,Heat, pollution and trash everywhere...

Well for the past 5 months that i have spent in Delhi, i have just seen that only but This morning was a bit different.

Well last night turned out to be one of those beautiful nights that I used to have in my Coll, Night outs, Movies or TV shows whole night, Last night also i was working on the comment system of  Three of my blogs (added a few extra features!!!) by the time i completed that it was 3:30 AM and i still had a movie "Green Mile" to complete which BTW turned out to be a complete surprise as it was the first English movie of my life to have a duration of more than 3 hours...

After i completed it it was around 5:30AM and the first person who comes to my mind at this hour can be no one other than my GF.

All i could think of was her all time request, "Vaibhav please start working out or at least start Jogging!! Reduce a bit for your own health!!!"

Well someone has rightly said "Love can make you do wonders" . So here i am writing this post after a 45 Min's brisk walk and a bit of Jogging!!!

And what i wrote above about the things you see when you step out of your house, Friends i was not joking, you can see all that but you'll have to get up at 5-5:30 AM to see the beauty of nature that we are destroying with each passing day!

Unlike my Home Town "Chandigarh - The city beautiful" you don't have a lot of  parks or a lake to start your day in Delhi but fortunately i have this small 'Sanjay Lake park' just near my home. I was happy about the place i was heading to and when i asked someone about the entry gate, He pointed me to gap in the grill over a small wall, and trust me guys the entry was really disgusting with trash all around but after entering and walking to the main path inside it was somewhat better than rest of Delhi.

A look around will show you the lack of maintenance, The Delhi tourism Board outside the main gate boasts of it as Sanjay Lake - A tourist spot but i don't think any tourist ever visited this place, yes you can still see patches of Lake in the entire area some with lots of water and some almost dried up. I won't say that it was full of trash but being from Chandigarh, the place which has so many beautiful and well maintained, trash free gardens and a beautiful lake which speaks of the caring Chandigarh Administration and remarkable and sensible people of the city beautiful, I never expected a tourist spot like Sanjay lake will have so much trash, badly maintained jogging track and gardens.

Anyways enough of complaining, The place was full of young and old men, some doing Yoga, exercises or walking and then there were so many young boys and girls playing cricket, Football and some kids playing there own kidi games, Then there were ladies sitting there enjoying and chatting!! The most interesting part of this place was a huge bridge over the lake, and below which were these really beautiful purple flowers... Just felt like standing there for a few Min's and taking a few pics and that's where the thought of writing this post strike my mind!!!

On my way back, all the autoriksha wala's were cleaning there Green Yellow Autoriksha, i don't why but since the time i moved in Delhi i have a new respect for these people...

And just when i was reaching back, i get a call from my surprised GF (i Msg'd her when i reached midway of  my walking track and was taking some rest), she was so happy to know that, at least i did something for her!!!

Hey come'on, you guys still feeling sleepy, Get up and have a great Sunday!!!
And like i said i stayed awake all night to add some features to my commenting system, so why don't you try it out especially Twitter users and give me you feedback about this early morning blog post and make my day even more beautiful!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! :)

  3. Firstly, nice to hear that u started jogging. But more importantly u shud cut down on AALOO :P ... college mein bhi bahut bhaagta tha lekin nothing happened (thanx to thakur ji ;) )

Secondly, East Delhi is a nice area, coz it's development started late. It's planned & commonwealth games have boosted development in that area. I can say it's not a true delhi, but surely a future delhi :) Delhi to abhi bhi wahin Chandni Chowk, CP, Sarojini mein hi hai ... east delhi to clean delhi hai bus.

Anyways keep jogging, hoping to see u soon ... coming back to delhi in mid may.

    keep joggin !! ;)

  19. So now a know a little secret. (the first comment)

Anyway, Sanjay Lake a tourist spot! The intention might have been that while it was being made but it has never been even close to that. but i have heard that in past few years it has improved. otherwise that place is very famous for early morning cricket. (and also for some not-worth-mentioning deeds, think think)

I have been to Chandigarh and I was struck by the level or organisation there. Every thing was planned and clean. Its also because people there have civic sense not which is not very common in Delhi. The scene you saw at the entrance of the Lake is absolutely normal. But the pics you took are really nice and I am compelled to give a visit to the place in near future.

BTW someone suggested Chandni Chowk. You should go there for the amazing food you get there.

  20. @Mayank, hahaha u sure dooo... n like always its a pleasure to have your comment on my post... now we smthing else in common hun.. earlier on both of liked JUIT n Now chandigarh.. kwl!!!
n u r rt delhi badal rha hai bt kuch delhi wale nhin!!!
n chandni chowk jane k bahut mann hai i hv been telling all my frens from day 1 to take me thr.. ab to ja ke rahunga..

  21. hmmmmmmm.....gera babu. you have taken too many digs at delhi. i know you speak your mind but do take into account that while you harp on and on about chandigarh and all its beauty you forget to see the 3 different administrations that govern delhi. also your city beautiful would barely fit half of east delhi. delhi despite all its flaws works, and if you miss chandigarh so much then just move out of east delhi and settle in south or south west delhi and i promise you you will see first hand that how le carbousier ripped off lutyens's design. yeh delhi hai mere yaar bas ishq mohabbat aur pyaar. and yeah enjoy the summers.

  22. :) makes me nostalgic hehe, I miss Delhi! Kudos to you for getting up early on a Sunday morning!!! :) makes me want to do the same on some Sunday morning :) too bad weather here isn't like in Delhi :(

  23. @Varun Chowdhary, o ho ho, here comes a comment from a real delhite.. varun 1st of all my intentions were not to hurt you bro!! i just wrote very generally about what i saw.. n am nt blamming the govt. for it.. the diff b/w chd. and delhi is the people of both the cities.. i know Delhi is d capital of the country and so lots of people just come running to it.. the basic problem is no civic sense.. people will just throw their trash outside their homes or shops.. n d only fault of govt is not providing enough dustbins around the city... i hv even seen some hard core delhiites throw away the plates or glasses they are using just anywhere, n even in JIIT what to saay about the rest of delhi, they are so lazy that they cant even go to the nearest dustbin. n varun now since i hv been here for more than 5 months i also consider myself to be a part of this place but you wont believe once i also did the same coz i was nt able to find a dustbin anywhere on the road but after a few steps that chandigarian in me cursed me so i went back n picked it up..
yeh delhi hai meri jaan.. isko saaf rakhna bhi humari hi responsibility huyi na.. :)

JUIT V/S JIITU - Thank God I am a JUITian...

I thought I'll write about this topic after JIIT opens up for next semester but i guess i have seen all the shades of JIIT already so i can very well show you the difference between the two institutes... Although both of them are backed by the same great Jaypee group but only JUIT represents the true greatness of this group... Beautiful surroundings, awesome building, great learning atmosphere and above all great people...  Some of JUITians will disagree with me on several points but guys trust me no one knows JUIT better than me and come and spend a month here in JIIT you yourself will feel the difference...  I completed my graduation from Jaypee university of information technology waknaghat, solan {H.P}, A place which has given me so many great memories, some awesome friends, i met with some really nice and loving people... Even the faculty in JUIT is quite caring...  Its because of  HCL's Japanese language training that brought me to JIIT a sister institute of JUIT located in

Time to say goodbye, but to whom???

It’s been more than 4 years that I have spent in this place called JUIT… A place I was sure I wanted to get in when I saw the prospectus and luckily I got admission here… Life was full of ups and downs rather more down’s but at the end of it all I have a job in my hand which is enough for me to ignore those bad times… There a few things I have always been proud of like my association with almost all the clubs and activities especially technical and hospitality… besides the fact that except for my academics I was good at making things happen and that majorly because of my domain, everyone yes everyone in JUIT knows me… But now when its time to say goodbye to this great university, things are no more the same and not even the feeling… 4-5 months back when it was time for 2008 regular batch to leave it was altogether a different feeling even that time I felt as if I am also about to go but this time when we have just 20 more days here I am not getting that feeling. We got our farewell, sc
